109 new rental units, the rental process has begun

The Vieux Pointe-aux-Trembles revitalization project has entered a new phase: the rental process has officially begun. It is now possible to apply to rent one of the 109 affordable housing units. 

Although the buildings are still under construction, the selection of future tenants begins today. Each application will be evaluated rigorously and fairly, according to well-defined criteria.

Bright, well-located and affordable apartments

Located between Saint-Jean-Baptiste and Sainte-Anne streets, on either side of Notre-Dame Est, these 1, 2 or 3‑bedroom units will offer bright, generous windows and private outdoor spaces. The first apartments will be available according to the following schedule:

  • 46 units in Building A, available from October 2025
  • 63 units in buildings B and C, available in February 2026

How to become a tenant?

The rental process takes place in several stages to ensure a fair and transparent selection:

  • Fill out the interest questionnaire

  • Application review period
    End of May to end of June
  • Answer from the Angus Group — you will receive an email indicating whether or not your application has been accepted
    End of June 2025
  • Individual interviews with shortlisted candidates
    Early July to late August 2025
  • Signing of leases
    Late August / Early September 2025

How much does affordable housing cost?

Rents are set according to the criteria of the Société d’habitation du Québec.

Rents are as follows:

  • Studio (2 ½): $945
  • 1 bedroom (3 ½): $1,090
  • 2 bedrooms (4 ½): $1,275
  • 3 bedrooms (5 ½): $1,485
How much does affordable housing cost?

Who qualifies for affordable housing?

To be eligible to rent a unit in this project, future tenants will need to have a gross income in line with the threshold set by the Programme habitation abordable Québec (PHAQ), depending on their household composition.

Current income limits:

  • 1 person: $56,571
  • 2 people: $80,003
  • 3 people: $97,983
  • 4 people: $113,141
  • 5 people: $126,496
